Who am I?
My name is Kathy Lostroh. I am the Family & Consumer Science teacher at Springlake-Earth High School. I began my teaching career here at SEHS in 2001. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Vocational Home Economics.
I feel like I'm very fortunate because I get to come to work everyday and do something I absolutely LOVE! I think I have the best students in the whole world. I teach a variety of courses that prepare students for the real world.
Outside of school I have an awesome family. My husband, Rhett, and I were married on March 8, 2003. We were blessed with a sweet, handsome son, Tanner, in 2007 and a beautiful, personality-filled daughter, Claire, in 2009. Together, we like to have family meals, read books, play outside together, ride bikes, and attend church. In addition, I love to sew, browse the web, do crafts, and bake occasionally.

Some interesting things about me:
- My birthday is on Christmas day.
- I shaved my head after promising my student I would if she raised $1,000 for Locks of Love and the American Cancer Society.
- I come from a long line of teachers, including my mom, dad (though I've taught longer than he has), sister, brother-in-law, two aunts, two uncles, a cousin, and my grandmother.
